Meesho vs Flipkart vs Amazon Label Format: What Is Different

· 3 min read

The three layouts side by side

All three marketplaces give sellers an A4 PDF, but the page is built differently. That is why a fixed-height crop that works for one platform clips another.

Flipkart: one page, dashed line, bordered label

A Flipkart page holds the shipping label in the top part, enclosed in a border, then a dashed cut line, then the tax invoice. The label border is close to a 3:5 rectangle, which is not the 2:3 shape of a 4×6 inch sticker.

A cropper has to stop at the border and ignore the dashed line. If the dashed line is counted as content, the crop stretches to the full page width and the label prints small. Our Flipkart label crop page covers this, and the Exact label size output makes the page the same shape as the label.

Amazon: an image label and a separate invoice

Amazon seller PDFs alternate. Odd pages are the shipping label, drawn as a single black and white image. Even pages are the invoice, with order number, product description and quantity as real text.

Two things follow. The label page has no text, so a tool cannot tell which marketplace it is from or what is in the parcel by reading it. And the invoice page has to be paired with the label before it, so removing invoices does not lose the product information. The Amazon label crop tool reads the product name and quantity from the invoice and prints a line like Burger Press Hamburger | Qty - 1 in the blank space of the label.

Meesho: courier label first, invoice after

Meesho labels come from the courier that carries the order, such as Valmo, Delhivery, Shadowfax or Xpress Bees, so the layout depends on the courier. The page usually has the label first and the invoice below it. A cropper that finds the invoice heading and measures the real label content works across couriers. See the Meesho label crop page.

What this means when you pick a label cropper

  • It should crop by what is drawn on the page, not by a fixed height.
  • It should handle image-only label pages, which is how Amazon labels arrive.
  • It should pair invoice pages with the label before them.
  • It should let you mix all three marketplaces in one upload.
  • It should keep the label as vector where the source is vector, so barcodes stay sharp.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my Amazon label have no text I can select?

Amazon draws the shipping label page as one flat image. The product name, quantity and order number are on the invoice page that follows it.

Why does a fixed crop clip my Flipkart barcode?

A fixed crop cuts at one height for every page. When a label is a few millimetres longer, the cut lands inside the barcode. Cropping to the label border avoids this.

Can I crop Meesho, Flipkart and Amazon labels together?

Yes. LabelCropKit detects each page separately, so one upload can contain all three.
