Amazon Label Crop for Easy Ship and Self-Ship Orders (4x6)

· 2 min read

How an Amazon seller PDF is built

Download the labels from Seller Central and you get an A4 PDF with two pages per order: page one is the shipping label, page two is the tax invoice. A four-order file has eight pages.

The label page is a single black and white image, so it has no selectable text. The invoice page holds the order number, product description and quantity as text.

What the crop does

  1. Each label page is trimmed to the label itself and fitted to 4×6 in (or any other layout).
  2. Invoice pages are removed, kept after each label, or moved to the end, as you choose.
  3. The product name and quantity are read from the invoice that follows each label.
  4. A line such as stool (pk 2) | Qty - 1 is added in the blank band of the label, so the packer sees what goes in the box without opening the invoice.

Turn the product line off under More options if you prefer a label without it.

Try it

Open the Amazon label crop tool, add the PDF and keep 4×6 in with Remove invoices. For the other marketplaces see how the label formats differ.

Troubleshooting

  • No product line on the label: the invoice may use a different layout, or the label has no blank band. The label itself is still cropped correctly.
  • Label looks small: choose Exact label size to remove side margins.
  • Barcode check fails: compare the preview with the original and report the file name.
